I have studied whooping cough all my professional life. Since I retired from general practice I have maintained this website and received frequent requests for advice. I always reply as best I can. Always the same day.
Everyone seems very grateful. I cannot prescribe at all as I am fully retired. (Not that this is often required in whooping cough!)
I do not get many requests for help. I suspect it is because people cannot believe it or think there is some catch.
It is all completely confidential and I am bound by the rules of the General Medical Council of England with whom I am fully registered.
