Immunisation programme in the UK

The vaccine against whooping cough is known as acellular pertussis vaccine but is now given combined with tetanus, diphtheria, polio, hib and hepatitis B. Infarix hexa is the brand name.

It is recommended to be given as a course of four, at the following ages; 2 months, 3 months, 4 months, with a booster at 3 years and 4 months or soon after. Given as Infanrix IPV or Repevax.
